A/S Norske Shell joins the Ocean Hyway Cluster

We are happy to announce A/S Norske Shell as our latest cluster member:

As a global and integrated energy company, Shell has an ambition to reduce the net carbon footprint of our energy products by around 50% by 2050. To support this, Shell launched its New Energies business three years ago and we are currently investing between one and two billion dollars annually on a global basis. We want to be a partner to Norway in the energy transition, and we view Norway as a very interesting country to develop new business activities in the cleaner and new energies space. Norway has great resources available, not only petroleum, but also plenty of wind and bio-mass – and we have easy access to clean and affordable electricity. Hydrogen is one of our focus areas. We see that many customers in Norway are asking for emission free hydrogen at a larger scale, both in the maritime market, in industry and heavy-duty land transport. With our global capacity and experience from hydrogen projects around the world, we think that we are well positioned to play a key role in scaling up the production and distribution of Hydrogen in Norway. In that regard, we see value in being a member of the Ocean Hyway Cluster and are looking forward to collaborating with the other members to share ideas and experience.
